The Pilot Basic Course

The 202nd Pilot Basic Course uses a Fallout theme to introduce flight students to very small aviation, starting with drones and working up. Standard General Aviation (GA) training starts with the Cessna 172, a 4-seat aircraft that requires a private pilot’s license. The 202nd Pilot’s Basic Course reverses the order and starts with the smallest aerial vehicles, drones, and teaches flight from a hands-on perspective.

The Pilot’s Basic Course is actually 2 courses;

• UAV Basic Course: for real-world drone pilots who support the Mojave Ranger weekend airsoft games at Fort Edwards
  • as Fort Edwards air operations expand the real-world courses will expand to include powered parachutes, ultralights and light sport aircraft.
• Ranger Support Pilot Basic Course: a Fallout-themed simulator course that teaches simulator pilots to run very small aviation operations in support of the Mojave Rangers and 1st Special Forces Group in the campaigns against the Mojave raiders.

Ground School and Basic Flight Training

• Ground School: Ground School is mostly identical for all the aircraft in the program. The FAA Part 107 Exam requires about 80-90% of the same Ground School training as the Cessna 172.
• Basic Flight Training: Principles of Flight, weight & balance, navigation, airport and flight procedures, etc. are all the same for real-world and simulator aircraft.

HR and Business Sections

202nd pilots, both real and simulator, can get paid to participate in the Sales Team and the Flight Clubs and make rank-based stipends and graduate bonuses for various courses as 1099 contractors.

Real-World UAV pilots and crews can participate in drone training events and the weekly airsoft campaigns at Fort Edwards.

Simulator pilots and managers make rank-based stipends to manage the On Air simulator operations.

The Human Resources Section has the tax forms and other 1099 contractor information. The Small Business Sections have training, resources and tools to help business managers develop their local micro-franchise and get paid to train people in their geographic areas.
